Scholarships
Scholarships for International Students
Scholarships can lower tuition and, in some cases, support living costs. They are competitive and vary by destination, university, programme, and student profile. We help you focus on options you can realistically pursue and avoid relying on assumptions.
What to Know About Scholarships
Scholarships are competitive and often limited. They usually cover part of the cost, not everything. They may help with:
- Tuition fees
- Living costs (in some cases)
- Travel- or study-related expenses
We help you identify opportunities that match your background and guide you on how to apply correctly.
Scholarship outcomes depend on fit and competitiveness. You generally improve your chances with:
- Strong academic results or clear progress trend
- A well-aligned program choice (not just popularity)
- Evidence of leadership, volunteering, or impact (where relevant)
- Strong documentation and deadline discipline
Types of scholarships
Scholarships by study destination
Many universities offer internal scholarships or tuition discounts based on academic performance, leadership experience, or early tuition settlement.
Examples include:
- Constructor University offers up to 30% merit-based scholarships based on academic performance. Eligible students may also access a study loan through Brain Capital, which is repayable only after securing full-time employment.
- EBS University offers scholarships of up to 20%, awarded based on academic excellence and demonstrated leadership experience.
- SRH University provides up to 15% tuition scholarships based on academic grades and timely tuition payment.
- GISMA University offers up to 20% scholarships based on academic performance, with an additional 10% tuition discount available for early settlement of annual tuition fees.
Scholarship availability and award percentages depend on programme choice and applicant profile.
Government and major programs
Some countries offer government-supported or nationally coordinated scholarships for international students. These opportunities are competitive and depend on academic background, chosen programme, and overall eligibility. These include but not limited to:
- Germany – Monthly financial support ranging from €300 to €850, usually awarded on a merit or programme basis.
- Italy – Scholarships can cover up to 95% of tuition, with some awards also providing €5,000–€7,000 per year towards living costs.
- Hungary – Full tuition coverage may be available, along with a monthly stipend of €120–€150 and possible accommodation support.
- Sweden – Tuition scholarships typically cover 25% to 100% of fees, while living expenses are usually self-funded.
- Ireland & the UK – Funding is generally partial, most commonly offering 25%–50% reductions in tuition fees.
Government scholarships are limited in number and vary widely by country, university, and academic profile, making careful planning and guidance essential.
